Recap of the Music Meeting November 7, 2017

November 7, 2017/in 2017, Monthly Meeting Re-cap/by Grant Ruiz

We enjoyed another fantastic evening of excellent music, Tuesday November 7th at the beautiful Paschal Winery in Talent with fifty people in attendance.

The next JCGS music meeting will be Tuesday, December 5th, 6 PM at Paschal Winery, Talent. To make the best use of our time, please be seated by 6 PM. Performers, please enter your pieces on the laptop at the bar before 6 PM. We are supposed to be entirely out of the winery by 8:30 PM.

As a reminder, when we have a special guest artist, we ask that local performers keep their sets to about 4 minutes, including introductory remarks, so that as many people as possible have a chance to perform.

The newly elected Board of Directors met at Sam Cooper’s house on Nov. 5. Rob Rhodes was chosen as the new treasurer, and Karma Rhodes will be our webmaster. We also discussed possible future guest artists as well as collaborating with the new SOU guitar instructor, Wenjun Qi, and her students.
JCGS member Mark Williams noted that Paschal has purchased new chairs that appear to be more comfortable than the previous ones. If you get a chance, please thank Aga, our host at Paschal, for upgrading the chairs. We are very lucky to have them for a home!
Respectfully submitted,
