We experienced another wonderful evening of music and camaraderie at Paschal Winery on Tuesday, September 4. There were about 40 people in attendance.

Marcy Greene, wife of Joe Thompson, currently has an art exhibit at the Paschal Winery tasting room.

Grant Ruiz and Dan Fellman will play guitar duets at Gallerie Karon this Friday, Sept. 7 from 5-8pm and at Belle Fiore Winery this Saturday, Sept. 8, from 6-8pm.

Duo Mandolini will play at the Talent Historical Society this Saturday from 10am to 12:30pm.

Mark Hamersly will play with Thor and Chicken Hirsch at La Baguette in Ashland this Saturday from 10:30am to 12:30pm.

Paschal Winery’s wine club pick up for members is this weekend – Friday from 6-9pm, and Saturday and Sunday from 1-6pm, with various musical acts. Check out paschalwinery.com.

 

Norm Fletcher reported that Trey Hensley, a very impressive bluegrass guitarist and Grammy nominee, will perform at the Sisters Folk Festival this Friday and Saturday. Tickets at eventbrite.com/e/2018-sisters-folk-festival-tickets-38667392211.

Pedro Cortes, flamenco guitarist and Grant’s first flamenco teacher will be performing with dancer Savannah Fuentes and singer José Moreno in Grants Pass on Thursday, September 20, at the Grants Pass High School PAC Lecture Hall, 8pm. Tickets at brownpapertickets.com/event/3592522. Those who missed them in Ashland on June 30 may want to make the trip!

Grant Ruiz will play on Aug. 18 from 11am-2pm at Portland Farmers Market at PSU with flamenco guitarist Berto Boyd, on Sunday, Aug. 19 at Lents International Farmers Market in Portland with Flamenco Pacifico (some time between 9am and 2pm), on Tuesday, Aug. 21 at the OSF Green Show with Dan Fellman starting at 6:45, and on Friday, Aug. 24 at the OSF Green Show with the Britt Guitar Trio (Ed Dunsavage, Mark Nelson) starting at 6:45. The Green Shows may be moved to the Black Swan Theater if the air quality is poor.
