ANNOUNCEMENTS

Our own guitar society member Mary La has come out with a new book, an inspiring memoir entitled “The Great Unlearning” containing stories of challenge and transcendence. Each story is accompanied by Mary’s original conceptual photographs. You can get more information, see some of the artwork, order prints, and buy copies of this and her previous books at Mary-La.com.

Flamenco dancer Savannah Fuentes will perform with Spanish gypsy singer and guitarist Diego Amador Jr. on Friday, April 29 at 7pm at Grizzly Peak Winery’s Event Center. Tickets are now on sale. You can get them and more information by clicking here. This duo is truly dynamic, and Diego is a force of nature not to be missed!

Please mark your calendars for our May gathering, since there are two announcements for that month. First, we are changing the date for this month only to the third Thursday, May 19. The second announcement is that we are changing the date so that the amazing Folias Duo can play for us at the second half of the meeting as a stop on their west coast tour. Hopefully the weather will be nice enough for us to be outside!

Dan Fellman and Grant Ruiz will play guitar duets at Belle Fiore Winery on Sunday, Feb. 27 from 5-7pm.

Respectfully submitted,Grant RuizFlamenco and classical guitaristSecretary, JCGS
