2022 is an especially important year to us, as we celebrate our founding over 20 years ago.  COVID curtailed many of the the Guitar Society’s meetings during 2020 and 2021, but our board continued to meet to discuss our vision for the future of the organization.  We realized that our scope had grown beyond strictly classical guitar over the past several years.

We have renamed the organization “Guitar Society of Southern Oregon” to embrace the acoustic guitar in its many forms.  We continue to celebrate the classical guitar, but look forward to expanding our reach to other forms of the guitar, especially through future concerts.

We are hopeful that we will resume all of our monthly meetings 2022, and can continue introduce exciting guitar talent to Southern Oregon.
